From Chicago To Hollwood

Keir Thirus started his acting career in Chicago's historic Black Theatre Community, starring in productions for the eta Creative Arts Foundation and the Congo Square Theatre Company, among others. Keir's stage performances garnered him various awards and nominations, including winning the Most Promising Actor Award and receiving a Best Leading Actor In A Play nomination from the Black Theater Alliance Awards, and taking part in winning the Best Ensemble Award from The African American Arts Alliance's Black Excellence Awards. Keir made his feature film debut in Chicago in the Universal Pictures release, The Express: The Ernie Davis Story.

Since relocating to Los Angeles, his TV credits have included General Hospital (ABC), True Detective (HBO), Dollhouse (FOX), To Tell The Truth (ABC), the Daytime Emmy winning digital series, Giants, and The Substitute (Nickelodeon), among others. Keir's digital series credits also include The Artistic Standard's critically acclaimed Black Boots series, and he also starred in all three seasons of the multi-award winning digital series sitcom he co-produced, The Marriage Tour, from Tinbridge Productions, for which he won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Dramedy from the LA Webfest. In that same year, he had the pleasure of finishing a successful run in the Ovation Recommended, Robey Theatre Company's production of Knock Me A Kiss, for which he received a Best Lead Male nomination from the NAACP Theatre Awards. Keir has also done voice over work for Adidas and the Black McDonald’s Operators Association, among others. 

Keir is currently based in Los Angeles with his wife and son, working, creating content, and enjoying coaching a wide variety of some of Holllywood's most talented actors.
